Terms and Conditions
Last updated 3 November 2026
These terms explain how you may use What's Up Africa! at whatsup.africa. By using the site or creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. What What's Up Africa! is
What's Up Africa! is a free news, video and radio aggregator for African countries. We show headlines, short summaries and thumbnails collected from the public feeds of publishers, trending videos from YouTube, and live radio streams. Every story links to the original publisher, and every video and station plays from its own source. We do not write, edit or endorse that content.
2. Third-party content
Stories, images, videos and radio belong to their publishers, broadcasters and creators. We link to them and show only short extracts. We are not responsible for what third parties publish, for their accuracy, or for how their sites handle your data. Links to other sites are followed at your own risk. If you own content shown here and want it changed or removed, write to us at [email protected] and we will act promptly.
3. Accounts
You can browse without an account. If you create one, you must be at least 16 years old, give accurate details and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can ask us to delete it at any time. Your favourites and followed publishers are private to you and are not shown on the public site.
4. Acceptable use
Please do not: scrape or copy the site at a scale that harms it, attempt to break into or overload it, use it to send spam, impersonate others, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts or block access that breaks these rules.
5. Our content and brand
The design, code, name and logo of What's Up Africa! belong to us. You may link to any page. You may not copy the site or present it as your own.
6. No guarantees
The site is provided "as is" and "as available". Headlines, weather, exchange rates and other data are for general information only and may be late, incomplete or wrong. Do not rely on them for decisions about money, health, safety or travel. Radio streams and videos may be unavailable at times.
7. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, What's Up Africa! is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by third-party content or services. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Advertising
Some pages carry clearly marked advertising or sponsored placements. Advertisers are responsible for their own content. Whether ad technologies set cookies is up to you through our cookie settings.
9. Changes and ending
We may change these terms or the site at any time. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site means you accept the change. We may suspend or end the service, or your account, if we need to.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction, without taking away any rights you have under the mandatory law of the country where you live.
